How to make a POV clip from a YouTube scene
From link to finished vertical clip in 8 simple steps.
- 1
Paste your YouTube scene link
On your dashboard, open the "Paste a video link" box and paste the YouTube link of the movie scene, stream or video you want to clip.
- 2
Set the From and To timestamps
Type where the scene starts and ends, like 12:00 to 15:30. The AI only looks at that part, so it's faster and picks the right moment.
- 3
Tell the AI what you want (optional)
In the Direction box, describe the moment — for example "build-up that ends in a shocking payoff". Then press Find moments. Finding moments is free.
- 4
Pick your clips and press Make clips
Choose the clips you like and Clean (1 credit) or Watermarked (0.5 credits). Credits are only used when you press Make clips.
- 5
Open the editor and add your POV text
Click Edit on a clip. In the Top text box, write your hook like "POV: you weren't ready for this". Drag it up or down on the phone preview.
- 6
Set a timer for the text
Under Top text, fill Show from and to (in seconds). Or play the video and press Start now and End now. Leave them empty to show it the whole clip.
- 7
Trim, crop and fix subtitles
Use the trim sliders to cut dead air, pick a crop, and drag subtitles so TikTok or Reels buttons don't cover them (switch the overlay to check).
- 8
Download your clip
Press Make to render your edited clip, then hit Download. It's ready to post on TikTok, Reels or Shorts.
